The Creation of Play Spaces in Twentieth-century Amsterdam: From an Intervention of Civil Actors to a Public Policy

This case study uncovers a turning point in the production of play space in Amsterdam. Whereas over the first half of the twentieth century the creation of play spaces used to be the primary responsibility of the Amsterdam civil society, this situation started to change after the Second World War. Between 1947 and 1970, the Amsterdam Urban Planning Department created over 700 public play spaces. These spaces were little niches in the urban public domain, specifically designed and constructed to enable city children's play. This remarkable change from a predominantly private to a public intervention, is explained through a rapid increase of the number of children (the post-war baby-boom), the existence of the General Extension Plan (AUP) with its detailed age specific approach and the fruitful collaboration between powerful urban planners and politically dominant socialist politicians.     

Panoramic view and national identity: two of Santiago de Chile's public spaces in the second half of the nineteenth century

This article shows how the panorama, as a modern form of visualization and representation, became a model for the Santa Lucia Hill and the Cousiño Park, two emblematic projects of Santiago's transformation, carried out by Benjamín Vicuña Mackenna between 1872 and 1875. On the one hand, supported by the height and location of the hill and its pattern of paths and terraces, the Santa Lucia promenade became an effective mechanism for visual control of the city as a whole, as well as a reference to the new urban order that was to be imposed. On the other hand, by proposing a landscape design that served as an urban window into Santiago's geographical surroundings, the Cousiño Park project interpreted the qualities of the panorama from a strongly local sensitivity that highlighted the values of life in contact with nature. The analysis of these two cases will show how the panorama remarkably influenced Santiago's first transformation in the republican era, while representing fundamental values of the emerging national identity.

文章在分析和总结电机常见故障特点及其在振动或电流频谱上出现的故障特征的基础上,针对故障电机的调制信号特点,使用信号解调技术对采集的信号进行幅值解调,提取故障特征进行诊断.并通过实例验证了该方法在电机故障诊断中的正确性.     

A continuous-time framework for least squares parameter estimation

This paper proposes a continuous-time framework for the least-squares parameter estimation method through evolution equations. Nonlinear systems in the standard state space representation that are linear in the unknown, constant parameters are investigated. Two estimators are studied. The first one consists of a linear evolution equation while the second one consists of an impulsive linear evolution equation. The paper discusses some theoretical aspects related to the proposed estimators: uniqueness of a solution and an attractive equilibrium point which solves for the unknown parameters. A deterministic framework for the estimation under noisy measurements is proposed using a Sobolev space with negative index to model the noise. The noise can be of large magnitude. Concrete signals issued from an electronic device are used to discuss numerical aspects.     

多标记分类和标记相关性的联合学习

提出了多标记分类和标记相关性的联合学习(JMLLC),在JMLLC中,构建了基于类别标记变量的有向条件依赖网络,这样不仅使得标记分类器之间可以联合学习,从而增强各个标记分类器的学习效果,而且标记分类器和标记相关性可以联合学习,从而使得学习得到的标记相关性更为准确.通过采用两种不同的损失函数:logistic回归和最小二乘,分别提出了JMLLC-LR(JMLLC with logistic regression)和JMLLC-LS(JMLLC with least squares),并都拓展到再生核希尔伯特空间中.最后采用交替求解的方法求解JMLLC-LR和JMLLC-LS.在20个基准数据集上基于5种不同的评价准则的实验结果表明,JMLLC优于已提出的多标记学习算法.     

基于Hilbert曲线和位置自调节法的图像版权保护算法

以小波的相关理论为基础,先把水印图像预置乱处理,对宿主图像直接进行小波包分解,之后将水印的低频部分和中高频部分分别采用Hilbert曲线扫描和位置自调节法嵌入到宿主图像中,嵌入强度可根据图像的内容自适应调节。通过实验观察,新算法在抗压缩和抗剪切性能有所提升,同时隐蔽性和抗噪能力也得到了较大改观,结果充分说明该算法是一种性能较为优良的图像版权保护算法。

A new generalised α scale spaces quadrature filters

The α   scale spaces is a recent theory that open new possibilities of phase-based image processing. It is a parameterised class (α∈]0,1])$(\alpha \in ]0,1\left]\right)$ of linear scale space representations, which allows a continuous connection beyond the well-known Gaussian scale space (α=1$\alpha =1$). In this paper, we make use of this unified representation to derive new families of band pass quadrature filters, built from derivatives and difference of the α scale space generating kernels. This construction leads to generalised α kernel filters including the commonly known families derived from the Gaussian and the Poisson kernels. The properties of each family are first studied and then experiments on one- and two-dimensional signals are shown to exemplify how the suggested filters can be used for edge detection. This work is complemented by an experimental evaluation, which demonstrates that the new proposed filters are a good alternative to the commonly used Log-Gabor filter.
